Location:
Eastdale Centre, 99 Lincoln Rd, Stoney Creek, ON L8E 1Z4

Total Weekly Hours:
27.75 hours/week

Schedule:
Monday to Friday – 7:00am-9:30am and 3:15pm-6:00pm

Pay Rate (per Collective Agreement, includes wage grants):

• RECE: $27.94 per hour
• Non-RECE: $25.40 per hour

Who We're Looking For

Qualifications:

• Minimum 1-year experience working directly with children or in a childcare setting
• Diploma in Early Childhood Education (ECE) or equivalent (e.g., Child & Youth Worker, Child and Youth Care, OCT, Recreation & Leisure diploma)

Certifications:

• Standard First Aid with CPR Level C
• Satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Police Check
• Proof of up-to-date immunizations (TB, Tetanus, MMR)

Skills & Knowledge:

• Familiarity with How Does Learning Happen? (an asset)
• Strong understanding of child development and age-appropriate activities
• Excellent communication and organizational skills

• Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and implement activities to support children's cognitive, physical, social, and emotional development
• Ensure the safety and well-being of children at all times
• Maintain an engaging and welcoming environment for children and families
• Complete documentation and meet Ministry of Education requirements
• Collaborate with Hamilton Wentworth District School Board faculty
