Our Business
FISPAN Services Inc. (FISPAN) is an Enterprise SaaS FinTech company that allows banks to deploy embedded financial products and services to create a seamless banking connection for their corporate clients. Our product aims to provide instant scale and reach for banks who want to remove friction and add value by enabling their commercial banking clients to access banking services through their preferred ERP / accounting platform.
Founded in 2016 and headquartered in downtown Vancouver, FISPAN is on a mission to create the best product in the FinTech industry and fundamentally change the way that companies bank. Being the market leader in ERP Banking, we work with the world's Tier 1 banks with assets exceeding $3T, including J.P. Morgan Chase, Wells Fargo, TD and Bank of Montreal.
We're scaling rapidly post-Series B, and our technology is complex, innovative, and deeply impactful. We're looking for a builder who shares our Passion and Grit to help us grow our Engineering, Product and technical teams.
The Opportunity
As FISPAN's first Talent Acquisition Specialist – Technical, you will be the engine of our growth, solely responsible for attracting, engaging, and closing the highly sought-after technical talent that drives our innovation. This is not a fulfillment role; it's a strategic partnership where you will embody our Obsess Over Customer Success principle by treating hiring managers as your internal clients. You will own the process, from source to start.
What You'll Do: Drive Outcomes & Champion Excellence
- Strategic Sourcing (60%): You will proactively and creatively source passive and active candidates for all technical roles (e.g., Software Engineers, Product Managers, Security Engineers, Solutions Engineers, etc.). You will build and maintain a robust, diverse talent pipeline for current and future workforce needs, leveraging external platforms, specialized communities, and industry events.
- Full-Cycle Technical Recruitment: Own the entire recruitment process for 60+ planned hires, providing a world-class candidate experience. This includes initial screening, conducting technical/behavioral assessments, managing interview loops, and extending and negotiating compensation, bonuses, and equity.
- Hiring Partner Consulting: Serve as a strategic partner to our Engineering and Product leadership. You'll consult on market trends, define ideal technical candidate profiles, and provide guidance on best hiring practices, ensuring every decision aligns with our Leadership Principles.
- Compliance & Data Integrity: Manage all recruitment activities and candidate data within our Applicant Tracking System (ATS), ensuring compliance with all Canadian employment regulations and maintaining exceptional data accuracy for reporting.
Onboarding & Employer Branding: Participate in new hire onboarding and facilitate a welcoming experience. You will be the primary external brand ambassador for our technical team, building and maintaining relationships with universities, tech associations, and niche communities in Vancouver and beyond.
Recruitment Process Optimization: Participate in quarterly reviews of the recruitment process; set targets for KPIs around recruitment costs, timelines, win rates, and candidate success measure; champion internal and external workflow automations and efficiency improvements.
What You'll Bring
- Experience: Proven experience in full-cycle technical recruitment, ideally a minimum of 2 years experience within the FinTech or high-growth SaaS industry. Experience with Bamboohr and Lattice is an asset.
- Technical Acumen: You possess strong foundational knowledge of technical roles (e.g., modern programming languages, cloud infrastructure) and can credibly articulate FISPAN's technology and opportunities to engineering candidates. Technical proficiency and adaptability, and a willingness to embrace AI automation.
- Agility & Initiative: The proven ability to manage high-volume requisitions, work independently, prioritize effectively, and thrive amid the constant change inherent in a growing company (aligns with Take Initiative principle).
- Compliance: Familiarity with Canadian (specifically BC) employment regulations and best practices.
- Education: A bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
Why Work With Us?
