Job Summary

We are seeking reliable and hardworking On-Call Snow Removal Workers to assist in clearing snow and ice from residential driveways, walkways, and front entrances throughout the winter season. The ideal candidate will be dependable, physically capable, and able to respond quickly during snowfall events. This role requires strong communication, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in cold and challenging conditions. A full G driver's license is a strong asset but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Shovel and clear snow from residential driveways, walkways, front steps, and other designated areas.
  • Apply salt or ice-melt materials as needed to improve safety and prevent refreezing.
  • Respond promptly to call-outs and be available during snowfall or early-morning conditions.
  • Provide photo documentation of completed properties to confirm quality and completion.
  • Monitor weather conditions and remain reachable during snowfall alerts.
  • Maintain tools and equipment (shovels, ice melt, etc.) in proper working condition.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols to prevent injuries or property damage.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding progress, issues, or hazards encountered.

Skills

  • Experience in snow removal, landscaping, or outdoor labour is an asset but not required.
  • Ability to work in adverse winter conditions for extended periods.
  • Strong attention to safety procedures and detail-oriented task execution.
  • Good physical stamina for lifting, shoveling, and repetitive movement.
  • Excellent communication skills and reliability in fast-changing weather scenarios.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Full G driver's license is a strong plus, but not mandatory.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $143.00-$200.00 per day
