Siwon Management Inc. is the proud operator of a growing network of franchise coffee shops, Daycare, Healthcare, Retail businesses in BC and Alberta. As we expand our services to provide full back-office management covering accounting, payroll, and day-to-day operations for our stores, we are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Junior Accountant to support this growth. This role is ideal for someone looking to gain hands-on experience in a multi-unit, service-based business environment.

Duties

  • Maintain financial records for multiple franchise locations
  • Record day-to-day financial transactions (sales, expenses, inventory adjustments)
  • Process and reconcile accounts payable and receivable
  • Prepare payroll and ensure compliance with provincial legislation
  • Assist with monthly and year-end financial closings
  • Reconcile bank statements and point-of-sale reports from store locations
  • Generate regular financial reports and assist in performance analysis
  • Support with budget preparation and cash flow tracking
  • Ensure compliance with franchise and CRA accounting standards
  • Provide general support for store operations as needed (e.g., inventory reporting, supplier payments)

Qualifications

Education & Experience:

  • Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • 1–2 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience (multi-location business experience is an asset)
  • Experience with payroll processing is a strong advantage
  • Familiarity with accounting software (QuickBooks Online, Xero, or similar)
  • Prior experience in the coffee or franchise industry is considered an asset.

Skills & Abilities

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
  • Understanding of basic accounting principles (GAAP)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Google Workspace
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks across different business units
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Trustworthy with confidential information

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $19.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 37.5 per week
