The Building Operator II position is located in Ottawa, ON, and typically reports directly to the Facility Supervisor.

Work shall include but is not limited to:

  • The design and implementation of custom control applications
  • Troubleshoot BAS programming
  • Provide BAS support network support as required
  • Perform shift tours and log readings
  • Start up/shut down major building equipment
  • All water treatment duties
  • Diesel, fire alarm, life safety tests
  • Air balancing
  • AHU maintenance and alignment
  • Heat pump servicing and trouble shooting
  • Alignment of pumps and couplings
  • Minor repairs to pneumatic equipment
  • All aspects of the heating ventilation and air conditioning systems.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 4th or 3rd Class Operating Engineer certificate required.
  • Extensive experience in BAS and HVAC systems.

SKILLS, ABILITIES AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS

  • Excellent customer service skills in ensuring client requests are responded to professionally and promptly.
  • Must be able to work in confined spaces and/or working at heights.
  • Bending and lifting (under 30kg) required.
  • Must obtain and maintain necessary security clearance.
