Tow Truck Operator

Delta, British Columbia, Canada ROADWAY TOWING Full time $60,000 - $75,000 per year

Roadway Towing is looking to hire a Full-Time wrecker/deck driver. Experience is preferred but not necessary, we will train the right applicant. Must have a professional attitude with high customer service standards. Wreckmaster training will be provided as available. Pay is based on commission. jobs that are fulfilled.

Full time: five days a week, two days off.

Responsibilities:

  • Receiving communications from the company dispatcher.
  • Driving to the scene of a vehicle breakdown or accident.
  • Interacting with the customer to find out the nature of the problem.
  • Performing roadside vehicle diagnostics.
  • Jump-starting vehicles, changing tires, and unlocking locked vehicles.
  • Suggesting a course of action.
  • Loading and securing a damaged vehicle to the truck.
  • Towing the vehicle to an authorized service station or destination.
  • Working alongside police and fire departments in a cooperative and professional manner.

Qualifications:

  • Must have a valid driver's license and provide clean driver abstract.
  • Must be authorized to work in Canada.
  • Classes 1, 3 and 5 with air and heavy endorsements is an asset.
  • Must have a professional attitude with high customer service standards.
