Job Title: Utility Trailer Mechanic

Location: Ultimate Trailers Sales & Service – Sturgeon Falls, ON

About Us:

At Ultimate Trailers Sales & Service, we specialize in trailer sales, service, and repair. We're looking for a skilled and reliable Utility Trailer Mechanic to join our growing team. If you have mechanical experience, are comfortable working with trailers, and can safely operate a forklift for unloading deliveries, we'd like to hear from you

Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose, service, and repair utility trailers (brakes, axles, wiring, suspension, tires, etc.)
  • Perform routine trailer maintenance and safety inspections
  • Use shop tools and equipment to complete repairs efficiently and safely
  • Safely operate a forklift to unload trailers, parts, and equipment from trucks
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Assist with trailer setups, installations, and customer service as required

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a trailer mechanic, equipment mechanic, or related mechanical trade
  • Knowledge of trailer components including axles, brakes, wiring, and suspensions
  • Valid forklift certification (or willingness to obtain)
  • Ability to safely load/unload trailers and equipment using a forklift
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with problem-solving skills
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team

Assets (not required, but an advantage):

  • Welding and fabrication experience
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
