Overview

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Journeyman/Journeywoman Plumber to join our team as a Mid-Size Construction Lead and Service Tech. This role involves overseeing plumbing projects such as mid-size tenant improvements, custom home builds, residential renovations, residential re-pipe jobs. During time in between projects the duties would include plumbing service work which we would be willing to train you for. This would be a great opportunity for a plumber with strong skills in construction who is looking to add service to their skill set. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in plumbing, construction, and related skills, with a commitment to safety and efficiency on the job site.

Duties

  • Lead plumbing projects on construction sites, ensuring compliance with all safety regulations and building codes.
  • Perform installation, maintenance, and repair of plumbing systems in residential and commercial settings.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to execute plumbing layouts effectively.
  • Utilize hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to complete various plumbing tasks.
  • Collaborate with other tradespeople on-site to ensure seamless integration of plumbing systems with HVAC and other mechanical systems.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and any necessary follow-up actions.
  • Assist with heavy lifting and physical labor as required on construction sites.

Requirements

  • Plumbing Red Seal ticket.
  • Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools relevant to the trade.
  • Excellent knowledge of the BC Plumbing code.
  • Ability to work unsupervised and strong problem solving skills.
  • Computer literate and able to use cloud based software to collaborate with team members.
  • Drivers license and clean drivers abstract.
  • Familiarity with construction site protocols and safety practices.
  • Able to work out of town for short periods if necessary.
  • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical documents accurately.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with basic math skills for measurements and calculations.
  • Experience in carpentry, remodeling, maintenance tasks, or maintenance person services is a plus.
  • Excellent people skills and ability to work well with contractors, project managers and team members.
