Job Description: Reporting to the Manager, the Rehabilitation Program Team Coordinator provides both clinical and administrative leadership and clinical supervision to the Alvin Buckwold Child Development Program (ABCDP) Team; (Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Speech Language Pathologists, Psychologists, and Social Workers). In addition, the Rehabilitation Coordinator will work collaboratively with committees and clinical services teams; SAIL provincial review committee; Student Clinical Placement coordinators; Equipment Vendors, Suppliers and Community Service groups; external partners in project or research endeavours, and clients and their caregivers. "Preference for this position will be given to HSAS members in accordance with the terms and conditions of the SAHO/HSAS Collective Agreement"

Experience
- Supervisory experience is an asset
- Pediatric assessment and treatment, multi-disciplinary assessment
- 5 years experience in an increasingly independent professional role
Education
- Bachelor of Occupational Therapy
Other Education and Training
- Current CPR certification
- Bachelor of Physical Therapy is acceptable

Knowledge and Abilities
- Ability to design and conduct in-service training for other professionals
- Knowledge in evidence based research

- Knowledge of TLR with willingness to be trained as a TLR trainer
- Demonstrates leadership abilities
- Skill in mentoring, training, clinically supervising students and related disc.
- Professional maturity and leadership in clinical area.
- Works independently, effectively and cooperatively with a multidisciplinary team
- Knowledge of Safety legislation (Occupational Health & Safety & Evidence Act)
- Extensive knowledge of community resources for clients and caregivers
- Knowledge of HIPA
- Highly developed written and oral communication skills
- Knowledge in the determinants of health and impact on health
- Ability to be self directed and work relatively independently
- knowledge of legislation and regulations which governs practice
- Knowledge of Maternal and Child Provincial Programs
- Knowledge and application of quality improvement principles, tools, and outcomes
