The Associate Design Director leads brand development, visual systems, and conceptual design across a range of healthcare initiatives. This role combines hands-on craft with team leadership, supporting both original design work and mentoring junior designers. The ADD collaborates closely with creative leadership, strategy, and client service partners to bring ideas to life and ensure design excellence. This is a 12-month contract position.

What You'll Do:

• Lead the development of brand identities, design systems, and visual storytelling across digital and traditional channels.

• Oversee and guide designers through internal reviews, ensuring work aligns with strategic direction and project objectives.

• Create original design solutions, including layouts, illustrations, infographics, and data visualization.

• Partner with developers, strategists, and creative leadership to ensure visual quality, consistency, accessibility, and technical feasibility.

• Present design approaches to key stakeholders, providing clear rationale while remaining open to iteration and exploration.

Required:

• 10+ years of design experience within an agency environment.

• Strong portfolio demonstrating brand identity work and multi-channel design.

• Proficiency in Adobe Suite, Figma, and Sketch.

• Experience mentoring junior designers and providing constructive, actionable feedback.

• Strong communication and presentation skills.

• Comfort integrating AI tools into creative workflows.

Desired:

• Experience developing data visualizations or working with clinical information.

• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional partners and clients.

• Strong understanding of typography, color theory, and design systems.

• Experience guiding interactive or UX-based design.

• Ability to evaluate work against usability, accessibility, and web standards.

• Experience supporting integrated campaigns or complex brand ecosystems.
