Job Duties
Simulation Operations and Production
- Lead complex, multi-site simulation initiatives to support simulation operations.
- Oversee simulation workflow optimization and process mapping to improve operational efficiency.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate standardized best practices across simulation centers.
- Identify training needs and support onboarding, upskilling, and mentoring of simulation staff.
Collaborate with Simulation Centre staff and faulty to provide health education and simulation to Saskatchewan Polytechnic Students. Coordinate the effective acquisition and use of all supplies, equipment and inventory products.
Strategic Data Analysis and Reporting
- Develop and maintain data collection systems to monitor simulation usage, equipment lifecycle, and resource demands.
- Analyze inventory and utilization data to forecast future equipment and supply needs.
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to track consumable usage, collaborate with user programs to share insights, and support informed decision-making regarding future supply needs.
- Leverage data analytics to optimize the utilization of simulation space and ensure alignment with program needs and scheduling efficiencies.
Project Management and Improvement Initiatives
- In consultation and partnership with the Program Heads, lead simulation-related projects, including lab expansion, capital planning, or integration of new technologies.
- Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to improve workflow.
- Track project milestones and manage cross-functional project teams, including timelines, budgets, and deliverables.
Liaison and Financial Insight
- Act as a liaison with user programs to review data on consumable usage and space allocation, providing informed recommendations to enhance resource planning and operational efficiency.
- Provide detailed cost-benefit analyses and make recommendations on equipment procurement and supply usage based on data trends.
- Collaborate with program users to anticipate simulation resource requirements for future program planning.
