What is the role?

If you have a passion for selling and thrive in a team environment, then please read on As an Account Manager you will be responsible for maximizing sales and profit by assisting new and existing clients achieve their goals through creative use of TPS products and solutions.

What will you do?

  • Promote TPS products and services;
  • Achieve sales and margin goals;
  • Maintain and grow revenue and margin with designated clients;
  • Help clients achieve their strategic sales, marketing and HR objectives;
  • Assist with developing annual Account Plans for key accounts;
  • Proactively identify merchandise opportunities for existing clients;
  • Create and provide product and company presentations to clients;
  • Provide clients with the highest level of professional service;
  • Maintain knowledge of latest merchandise trends by attending industry shows and using supplier contacts;
  • Utilize NetSuite for basic CRM and quoting functionality;
  • Keep client contact and supplier information up-to-date;
  • Develop strong key supplier relationships;
  • Source products and ensure products sourced and quoted are compliant (according to company and client-specific requirements), competitive, available to be delivered within the client-project requirements, while meeting the company growth and profitability targets;
  • Coordinate with other departments and suppliers to obtaining accurate information on costs, availability, logistics, lead time and other items related to quotations;
  • Client reporting as required;
  • Actively participate in team creative and team meetings;
  • Participate in product knowledge seminars;
  • Live TPS Values;
  • Actively support TPS Vision and Mission;
  • Other duties as required.

What will you need to succeed?

  • Completed post-secondary education, preferably in a business, supply chain or related program;
  • 3 to 5 years of related experience, minimum 1 year in the promotional products industry;
  • Previous sales experience in a fast-paced environment;
  • Knowledgeable of MS Office suite;
  • Experience with using CRM applications such as NetSuite is a plus;
  • Team player with exceptional customer service ethic and relationship-building skills;
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
