Job Title: Detailer (Lexus Reflections)

Report to: Service Manager

Employee Status : Full Time

Job Schedule

Average Work Week: Monday to Friday and Occasional Saturdays

Hours of Job per day: 08:00 am to 05:30 pm - varying hours

Lunch Period: Monday & Friday: 30 minutes unpaid

Job Summary:

Detail vehicles as per the requirements and quality assurance program determined by Lexus Reflections. This includes washing, waxing and/or polishing the exterior of the vehicle, and cleaning/shampooing the interior of the vehicle, as required satisfying customer needs and dealership expectations of high quality and workmanship.

Job Duties:

• Clean customer vehicles inside and out as per Lexus Reflections and/or Service Advisor guidelines
• Valet vehicles neatly and with care in delivery area or on lot in accordance with policy and best practices
• Maintain all clean-up areas including floors and benches, etc. in a clean, organized and safe fashion
• Return equipment to its appropriate place in good working order and condition.
• Report to management any circumstance or condition that compromises the integrity or safety of the dealership, personnel, or customers.
• Show common courtesy to all customers and dealership personnel and promote every aspect of the Tony Graham Automotive Group to the client.
• Use the supplies and materials in a safe, practical, and economical manner.
• Maintain a good work attitude and cooperate with the managers and fellow employees in the positive spirit of teamwork.
• Work in compliance with all applicable policies, procedures and legislation.
• Any other duties, as assigned.

OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH AND SAFETY:

To comply with Occupational Health & Safety requirements.

• Maintain knowledge and ensure that work is in compliance with the provision of the Act, the regulations and all health and safety policies, programs and practices, as they pertain to the workplace
• Report to the employer, supervisor or a Health & Safety representative, any contravention of the Act or regulations, or any hazard they are aware of.
• Use or wear equipment, protective devices or clothing that the employer requires to be used or worn in a manner that will not endanger the client, themselves or another employee.
• Report immediately to the employer or supervisor the absence of or defect in any equipment or protective device of which the employee is aware and which may endanger the client, themselves or another employee.
• Ensure that they do not engage in any prank, contest, and feat of strength, unnecessary running or rough and boisterous conduct.

Working Conditions:

• Working indoors and outdoors; heated work environment (Garage/Workshop)
• Driving and Parking Vehicles required
• Lifting requirements
• Use of chemicals during car cleaning and prep, such as paint and fabric protection or rust proofing materials.
• Can be noisy at times with the use of pressurized tools
• Sporadically busy and hectic environment

Position Profile:

Job Task: Percentage of Time Spent on Task

Detailing Exterior of Vehicles: 40%

Detailing Interior of Vehicles: 40%

Customer Service / Other Tasks: 20%

Pay: From $17.60 per hour

Expected hours: 45.00 per week
