Your new company
Hays Construction & Development is once again partnered with our long-time client, who is a specialist in electrical contracting. They work across public and private sectors and have been a dependable resource in the industry for decades.
Your new role
As an Electrical Estimator, you'll take the lead on new construction, renovation, and design-build projects in the ICI sector—ranging from $10K to $10M. You'll manage the full lifecycle of tenders, RFQs, and design-build opportunities from concept to close, working closely with operations and leadership to ensure successful project delivery.
In this role you will have responsibilities for:
- Analyze drawings, specs, and tender documents
- Perform take-offs, pricing, and bid submissions
- Lead bid closings and contract reviews
- Coordinate with field teams, vendors, and clients
- Manage budgets, schedules, and documentation
- Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards
- Support project execution and client communications
What you'll need to succeed
To be considered for this job, you must have
- Post Secondary education in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or RSE 309A License
- 5+ years in electrical estimating/project management
- Proficiency in Accubid or McCormick, and Microsoft Project
- Experience with bid portals and submission packages
- Strong leadership, communication, and time management skills
- Financial acumen and problem-solving ability
You should also have the ability to obtain a Canadian Federal Government security clearance, i.e. 5–10 years of residency and a clean criminal record.
