Duties and Responsibilities:
- Designing/drafting of electrical systems and components
- Coordinate with the engineering team and other design disciplines as required
- Assist with engineering analysis, evaluations, designs and implementation for electrical systems
- Work through construction support issues with design team and contractors
- Accept technical guidance from designers, engineers, and senior staff
- Occasional site visits as required
- Other tasks as assigned by Electrical Team Lead(s), Engineers or Division Manager
- Currently enrolled in Electrical Engineering Technology Diploma, Architectural Technology Diploma or equivalent
- Eligible for an 8-month co-op registered through your post-secondary school
- A good understanding of building system design
- Experience in power system design and/or construction considered an asset
- Experience with Provincial and local Municipality design guidelines, the Ontario Building Code, and other applicable Canadian Engineering standards would be considered an asset
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and AutoCAD suites
- Experience with Autodesk Revit considered an asset
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Effective team member
- Commitment to ongoing professional and personal growth; willingness to learn
- Adaptable and flexible to changing priorities
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organization
- Capable of working on and/or managing several projects at the same time
- Access to reliable transportation for travel within Ontario, primarily London and surrounding area.
This is a full-time temporary, in-office position. At SBM, we prioritize a positive work culture, believing that strong relationships with our employees lead to exceptional customer service and outstanding results for our clients.
