What You Can Expect To Do Here

  • Be part of a Canadian-based firm, applying and expanding your technical, client delivery and project delivery skills.
  • Clearly identify and understand project objectives associated with progressing contaminated sites to closure, bring your ideas and solutions to your project manager, project directors, mentors.
  • Project coordination including set-up of field work programs, preparation of field work instructions and health and safety plans, budget and schedule management, subcontractor management, and project filing.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior staff.
  • Completing and assisting in data collection, compilation, interpretation and reporting for phased environmental site assessment, remediation, and reclamation.
  • Develop your career by having several different mentors to plan, adjust and grow your career at WSP.
  • Participate and be a member of a 30-40 person client-specific delivery team, while at the same time leveraging the experience and expertise of the entire RPM group.
  • Have a really complex technical issue? Engage with a Practice Area Network (PAN) who may have experienced the same issue in Australia, Malaysia, or even exotic locations like Saskatoon.
  • Apply your love for the outdoors and complete fieldwork assignments in Western Canada (up to 25%), including Phase 1 and 2 ESAs, drilling, groundwater sampling, remediation, and reclamation.
  • Plan, lead or work on some of the most interesting and technically challenging environmental projects in Western Canada.

What You'll Bring To WSP

  • Bachelor's degree or technical diploma in environmental science, engineering, or related field.
  • A minimum of 3 years experience in environmental site assessment and remediation.
  • Asset to have experience related to the Upstream oil and gas industry.
  • Eligible to register as a Professional or Professional in Training with an applicable association (AIA, APEGA, etc.)Thrives in the office (up to 75%) and are detail-orientated.
  • Have excellent communication skills and are the default person coordinating activities with your friends and family.
  • Enjoys mentoring and training junior staff on the wonders of environmental assessments.
  • Can't get enough learning.
