Job Description

As a Senior Cyber Security and IT Risk Management Analyst, you will be responsible for reviewing the cyber security posture of suppliers and identify risks, resulting from engagements with third parties who deliver projects, products and services to RBC in support of achieving business objectives.

This position falls within the Vendor IT Risk team which is responsible for conducting enterprise-wide IT Risk due diligence on third-party suppliers and the position reports to the Snr Manager Cyber Control Assurance, you will provide Cyber Security, IT Risk expertise within RBC. This involves the third party engagements.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

  • Working with stakeholders, you will perform IT Risk assessments to determine points of non-compliance and provide insight into the risks identified.

  • Collaborate and contribute on process improvement initiatives

  • Participation/lead discussions in Security Reviews, Walkthroughs, Risk Assessments and Security Workshops

  • Participation in the Issue Management approval process

  • As part of a Supplier Control Assessment provide detailed security guidance to RBC Groups when called upon, as part of the assessment process.

  • Assess security of our RBC Financial outsourcing initiatives including onsite inspections and review of physical and logical controls

  • Provide ad-hoc Security guidance to the stakeholder community involved in the Supplier Control Assessment.

  • Establish strong working relationships across business units and platforms to build, influence and impact with key business partners.

WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED?

Must have:

  • Experience with conducting Security Assessments

  • Expert knowledge of Security Policies and Standards; Information Security Practices

  • Extensive knowledge of cyber security technologies like access control solutions, authentication, network security, cryptography, PCI, privacy and data classification/protection

  • Demonstrated ability in written and oral communication skills along with strong presentation skills.

Nice-to-have

  • CISSP certification preferred

  • ISO 27002 General knowledge of RBC Technology Security Standards & Practices

  • Previous experience working with IT Risk in financial institution similar to RBC
