Fortinet is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented full-time Facilities Planner to join our Facilities team in Burnaby, B.C. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a central role in supporting the day-to-day operations of our campus and helping to create an efficient, safe, and welcoming environment for employees and visitors.
Key Responsibilities:
Facilities Operations & Space Planning
- Act as the main point of contact for daily facility-related issues and service requests.
- Manage facilities databases and coordinate timely completion of service tickets.
- Assist with space planning and department allocations, including moves/adds/changes.
- Conduct regular facility inspections to identify and resolve any urgent issues.
- Maintain order in shared areas such as hallways, tables, and common spaces.
- Support furniture installations, reconfigurations, and minor cleaning duties as needed.
Project & Vendor Coordination
- Collaborate with the Facilities Manager on a variety of ongoing projects.
- Solicit bids and quotes from vendors; assist in evaluation and selection.
- Maintain and update vendor contact lists.
- Coordinate with Building Operations to schedule preventative maintenance for HVAC, UPS, electrical systems, and other critical infrastructure.
- Ensure building security protocols are followed and respond to emergencies on a 24/7 basis as needed.
Administrative & Event Support
- Provide administrative support to the Facilities Manager and team, including documentation and tracking.
- Assist with special event logistics and fitness program setup.
- Serve as backup for the Office Manager during vacations or absences.
Qualifications:
Required
- Strong customer service orientation and professional demeanor.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask and manage time independently.
- Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Comfortable working with hand tools and basic powered tools.
- Ability to stay calm under pressure and handle a variety of tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to follow through with minimal supervision.
Preferred
- Experience in facilities, office services, or space planning roles.
- Familiarity with building systems (HVAC, electrical, UPS, mechanical).
- Experience with AutoCAD or other space planning/design software.
- Previous exposure to vendor management and preventative maintenance coordination.

The Canada base salary range for this full-time position is expected to be $80,000 – $90,000 annually. Wage ranges are based on various factors including the labour market, job type, and job level. Exact salary offers will be determined by factors such as the candidate's subject knowledge, skill level, qualifications, and experience.
