Description Du Poste
This part-time seasonal position assists UPS Package Drivers with deliveries and pick-ups of UPS packages at UPS drop boxes and customer locations in and around
Durham Region
Area. This role involves performing physical work in a fast-paced environment including continual lifting, lowering and carrying packages. This position ensures the best customer service through efficiency and dedication.

Work Location: Durham Region (Pickering, Ajax, Whitby, Brooklyn, Uxbridge, Port Perry, Oshawa, Bowmanville, New Castle, Port Hope, etc...)
Workdays:
Monday through Friday (All five days of the week)

Shift Start:
Start time will vary between 10:30/11 AM - 3/4:00 PM.
Depending on operational needs
start times & finish times may vary. Flexibility required
Pay rate
:
$18/hourly

  • APPLICANTS MUST BE ABLE TO WORK UP TO 25 HOURS PER WEEK**

Responsibilities

  • Meet UPS driver at the assigned local meet point
  • Deliver and pick up UPS packages efficiently and effectively on foot in residential or commercial area
  • Learn and properly execute UPS package handling/delivery methods

Requirements

  • This is a part-time position, must be able to work 3-5 hours a day, various start times available between 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday to Friday (Flexibility required)
  • Ability to lift up to 70 lbs. (32kg) unassisted. Typical package weight ranges from 25-35 lbs.
  • Capacity to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Must be able to work outside in all weather conditions
  • Must be able to deliver packages by means of walking
  • Hours may vary depending on the work volume

EXPENSES/WORKING CONDITIONS

  • This is a unionized role and monthly union deductions will apply
  • Exposed to hot and cold temperatures while working outdoors and in warehouse facilities

NOTE: The duration of the contract is until the end of December 2025 with a possibility of extension depending on the work
