The Senior Customs Rater will support Mohawk Global Canada in providing clients with expedited customs brokerage and transportation services. This position requires regular interfacing with clients and trade partners to ensure a high level of performance and compliance in the movement of goods through the supply chain. The Senior Customs Rater must possess the ability to resolve complex shipments and other aspects of a senior role.

Tasks/Responsibilities:

  • Processing of customs entries including release, acquittal, and invoicing for all modes of transport
  • Provide excellent client service to internal and external customers
  • Assist with updating and maintaining client profiles and tariff databases
  • Participate in client meetings and business reviews 
  • Prepare post-entry adjustments for refunds and amends
  • Arrange final mile delivery 
  • Processing of CLVS entries 
  • Completing additional duties as assigned

Desired Experience and Skills:  

  • 5+ years of customs brokerage experience 
  • CCS Designation 
  • Extensive knowledge of import and customs regulations
  • Experience with PGA's (Participating Government Agencies) 
  • Strong organizational and time management skills 
  • Strong communication skills 
  • Self-motivated and ability to prioritize tasks
