Job Summary

The Human Resources Generalist will oversee the full spectrum of HR functions for our BC & AB operations. This role is responsible for a broad range of HR functions including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, benefits administration, compliance, and HR policy implementation. The incumbent will play a key role in building an engaged, high-performing workforce while supporting leaders and employees across the business. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, approachable, and capable of handling sensitive information with confidentiality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead all core HR activities including recruitment, compensation and benefits, performance management, employee relations, retention, and engagement for BC & AB operations.
  • Partner with the Human Resources team to design and implement strategies that drive effectiveness, efficiency, and a positive employee experience across Canada.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records.
  • Prepare HR reports and analytics as required by management.
  • Oversee the employee lifecycle from new hires, onboarding, and terminations, while updating relevant documents and procedures such as RAIC, uniform, benefits, parking pass, payroll, etc.
  • Foster productivity and commitment by cultivating a culture aligned with organizational goals and values.
  • Manage CNESST claims and return-to-work processes.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for managers and employees, proactively building trusted relationships within your assigned teams.
  • Advise and coach leaders on people-related matters to enable effective management and leadership practices.
  • Conduct weekly lounge visits to strengthen connections with frontline teams and identify opportunities for support and development.
  • Partner with the HR team to support and deliver company key initiatives such as performance review processes and employee development initiatives.
  • Champion the organization's culture by modelling core values, inspiring trust, and leading by example.
  • Other related responsibilities and special or ad hoc projects, as assigned.

Qualifications Required

  • Bachelor's degree or college diploma in Human Resources Management or a related discipline
  • 5+ years of HR generalist experience in a sizable, fast-paced organization; experience in hospitality or travel is an asset
  • Strong knowledge of BC & AB labour laws and compliance regulations
  • Experience interpreting HR policies, procedures, and practices
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced team environment while managing multiple priorities meeting tight deadlines
  • Proactive, results-oriented mindset with a high level of accountability
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills (verbal, written and interpersonal)
  • Fluent in English (written & spoken). Other languages are appreciated.
  • Positive "can do" attitude and adaptable to change
  • Quick learner with critical thinking and attention to detail.
  • Strong organization skills with the ability to prioritize and multitask
  • Ability to work well with employees at all levels of the organization
  • Confidentiality and integrity are a must
  • Good problem-solving skill with team player's attitude
  • Strong aptitude for embracing new technology and MS Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • Familiarity with ADP WFN, an asset
  • Previous payroll processes experience, an asset.

Working Conditions

  • Office environment with minimal exposure to adverse conditions.
  • Monday-Friday, Hybrid 1 day home/week
