Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, organize, direct and run optimum day-to-day operations to exceed our internal and external customers' expectations.
  • Report on key performance on a regular basis.
  • Conduct structure audits on a regular basis.
  • Increase fleet availability while minimizing unnecessary costs and maintaining current quality standards.
  • Oversee and coordinate configuration and obsolescence management tasks.
  • Acts as an interface between the operational business and the KNDS system engineering division
  • Allocate resources effectively and fully utilize assets to produce optimal results.
  • Implement strategies in alignment with strategic initiatives and provide a clear sense of direction and focus with clear actions that drive results.
  • Recommends, implements, and evaluates policies, procedures, and standards for all aspects of the work performed.
  • Drive significant cost reductions across all aspects of the LTSS contract.
  • Stay up to date with latest production management best practices and concepts

2. Qualifications and Skills

Education & Qualifications (Required)

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Logistics, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in fleet management, technical operations, or equipment support.
  • Experience in defense, CAF or manufacturing, or heavy equipment industries preferred.

Prerequisite Training / Certifications

  • Project Management or Operations Management training (e.g., PMP or equivalent) preferred.
  • Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) awareness training.
  • Familiarity with military standards or defense contracting is an asset.

Technical Skills (Hard Skills)

  • Proficiency in fleet management systems and MS Office Suite.
  • Ability to analyze operational data, generate reports, and present actionable insights.
  • Knowledge of configuration management, obsolescence planning, and technical audits.
  • Understanding of quality management standards (ISO, LTSC).

Soft Skills (Core Competencies)

  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • High level of attention to detail, organizational skills, and decision-making ability.
  • Adaptable, proactive, and capable of managing fast-paced operational environments.
