Equipment Support Manager

Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, organize, direct and run optimum day-to-day operations to exceed our internal and external customers' expectations.
- Report on key performance on a regular basis.
- Conduct structure audits on a regular basis.
- Increase fleet availability while minimizing unnecessary costs and maintaining current quality standards.
- Oversee and coordinate configuration and obsolescence management tasks.
- Acts as an interface between the operational business and the KNDS system engineering division
- Allocate resources effectively and fully utilize assets to produce optimal results.
- Implement strategies in alignment with strategic initiatives and provide a clear sense of direction and focus with clear actions that drive results.
- Recommends, implements, and evaluates policies, procedures, and standards for all aspects of the work performed.
- Drive significant cost reductions across all aspects of the LTSS contract.
- Stay up to date with latest production management best practices and concepts
2. Qualifications and Skills
Education & Qualifications (Required)
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Logistics, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in fleet management, technical operations, or equipment support.
- Experience in defense, CAF or manufacturing, or heavy equipment industries preferred.
Prerequisite Training / Certifications
- Project Management or Operations Management training (e.g., PMP or equivalent) preferred.
- Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) awareness training.
- Familiarity with military standards or defense contracting is an asset.
Technical Skills (Hard Skills)
- Proficiency in fleet management systems and MS Office Suite.
- Ability to analyze operational data, generate reports, and present actionable insights.
- Knowledge of configuration management, obsolescence planning, and technical audits.
- Understanding of quality management standards (ISO, LTSC).
Soft Skills (Core Competencies)
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- High level of attention to detail, organizational skills, and decision-making ability.
- Adaptable, proactive, and capable of managing fast-paced operational environments.

Pay: $95,000.00-$105,000.00 per year
