The Role
We are seeking an AI Engineer with strong software engineering skills and a focus on Natural Language Processing (NLP) to support the development and deployment of our AI-driven robotics solutions ). As a key member of the Xaba team, you will contribute to building scalable, production-grade systems, working in close collaboration with our engineering and leadership teams to bring innovative AI applications to life.
Technical Requirements:
- 5+ years of professional software development experience - ideally in Python - and software engineering best practices (OOP, design patterns, unit testing)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in Natural Language Processing (NLP), including the development and application of techniques such as semantic analysis, information extraction, and named-entity recognition.
- Familiarity with the processes of collecting, cleaning, annotating, and generating datasets for NLP tasks.
- Technical understanding of deep learning models commonly used in NLP and ability to read, interpret, and apply findings from scientific literature in the fields of AI and NLP to guide implementation choices.
- Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
Nice to Have:
- Experience deploying AI solutions in production environments.
- Hands-on experience with knowledge graphs, including their design, construction, or integration into NLP systems.
- Background in linguistics, computational linguistics, or a related engineering fields (Master's or PhD).
