We are seeking a Full-Time Accountant to oversee all aspects of the company's accounting operations. This position plays a key role in maintaining the financial accuracy and integrity of the company, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, bank reconciliations, month-end and year-end closing, tax filing, and audits. The role requires strong accounting knowledge and bilingual communication skills to coordinate with our head office and auditors in China.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the full cycle of accounting, including A/R, A/P, payroll, and general ledger
  • Reconcile merchant statements with daily sales from all store locations
  • Enter all sales transactions into the accounts receivable module in Kingdee
  • Process semi-monthly payroll and related government remittances
  • Prepare and record accounts payable transactions and ensure timely payments
  • Perform bank reconciliations and maintain accurate general ledger accounts
  • Prepare month-end and year-end closing reports and supporting schedules
  • Handle tax filings (GST/PST, payroll, and corporate tax coordination)
  • Support internal and external audits, including communications with HQ in China
  • Ensure compliance with IFRS and internal financial control policies
  • Provide financial data, analysis, and ad hoc reports as requested by management

Qualifications

  • Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 3–5 years of full-cycle accounting experience, preferably in a small to mid-sized company
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS, tax compliance, and audit procedures
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Kingdee, and Sage accounting software
  • Fluent in Chinese and English (verbal and written)
  • Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and time management
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
