Second Cook / Housekeeper

Jomax Drilling is a privately held company in the Oil and Gas Industry and has been operating for 53 years.

We are currently hiring a Second Cook/Housekeeper to start on November 27, 2025, in the Grande Prairie area. The camp is located approximately 45 minutes Southwest of Grande Prairie. The rotation is three weeks in camp and one week off. The rotation includes two weeks as a Second Cook and one week as the Housekeeper. This is a great opportunity to join the Jomax Team

A valid Food Safe ticket is required.

Second Cook / Housekeeper Duties can include but are not limited to the following:

  • Duties as assigned by Head Cook
  • Assist the cook with preparation of meals, stock taking, etc. If an emergency occurs the Second Cook will take over the head cook duties, for a short period of time if required.
  • Prepare salads, vegetable trays, fruit trays, and homemade desserts, etc.
  • Help prepare rig-box (hot meals going to personnel working on the rig).
  • Wash all dishes; pots and cutlery, ensuring all are sanitized.
  • Ensure all daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning tasks are completed
  • Second Cook duties for two weeks
  • Housekeeping duties for one week
  • Adhere to all safety policies and practices, and PPE when required.
  • Participate in meetings
  • Assist in unloading the grocery truck
  • All other duties as assigned

Job Type: Contract

Contract length: 6-8 weeks

Pay: $21.78 per hour

Expected hours: 84 per week

Experience:

  • Second Cook/Housekeeper: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

  • Food Safe, SafeCheck, Food Handler or equivalent (required)
