PAY:
100% Commission; Target $100k - $150k range with uncapped commission.
SUMMARY:
As a Hearing Protection Sales Representative, you will help people protect their hearing where hearing protection is required. Your role is to identify potential customers, nurture relationships into action, sell them hearing protection, and maintain the relationship over time to activate re-order cycles. You'll be given a sales quota and a defined territory along with the tools needed to grow the business. In this position, you need to be comfortable with all aspects of sales, from cold calling to working events and tradeshows to, negotiating, and closing opportunities, and ongoing relationship management. You'll work collaboratively with the Director of Sales, the Sales Support team and your assigned Hearing Protection Specialist(s) along the customer journey to deliver better hearing in your territory.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Be the hearing protection expert while on-site with customers; provide fitting recommendations, and product descriptions, explain the ear impression process, and provide technical support.
- Develop sales opportunities within the territory, meeting quotas through all aspects of sales.
- Cold call on, present to, nurture, and develop new accounts in the territory.
- Manage Hearing Protection Specialist(s) and their schedules within the territory to make ear impressions of employees at won opportunity customer locations.
- Create ear impressions for complimentary samples as part of the sales cycle, but also to support Hearing Protection Specialists if they are not available.
- Input and manage all data within the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software.
- Submit sales forecasts, pipelines, and key account plans to grow the territory.
- Support company initiatives at tradeshows and events.
- Solves customer problems as their advocate.
- Monitor and report on the competitive landscape.
- Participate in sales team calls and events.
- Submit ideas for new tools, training, or products that could grow our business.
- Delivers exceptional customer service, measured through Net Promoter Scores.
- Supports sales director and other sales team members on request.
- Provides market trends and market intel to the leadership team when identified.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- 5+ years of sales experience in Manufacturing, Industrial, Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) or healthcare-related field.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid Driver's License
- Ability to travel 70% of the time.
- Sales negotiation, pricing, discounting, and forecasting competency
- Read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, technical information, and procedures and write reports and professional correspondence.
- Detail orientation that empowers pricing decisions, customer relationship management, and scheduling of complex tasks.
- Player/Coach mentality; Everyone here plays a critical role in delivering for our customers.
- Highly ethical in handling unpublished samples and equipment, able to maintain the confidentiality of proprietary business information, including but not limited to discounts, margins, and price lists.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
- Have a dependable vehicle and the ability to use it daily for work.
- Strong communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills.
- High level of attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
- Intermediate skills with Microsoft Office (Outlook email, Word, Excel)
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Work is performed at customer remote locations and at a home office which requires the ability to sit or stand for extended periods.
- Work requires daily travel; primarily driving to customer locations but may include air travel periodically.
- Operate a computer keyboard and mouse for prolonged periods.
- Communicate effectively with internal and external partners in person, on the phone, and via email.
- Ability to stand, bend, and lift to 25 pounds.
- Ability to work in noisy and dusty environments.
PAY:
