Job Summary

We are seeking a knowledgeable and customer-focused Automotive Service Advisor to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive service and repair, with exceptional communication skills to effectively interact with customers and technicians. This role is essential in ensuring that our clients receive top-notch service while maintaining the highest standards of quality and efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Greet customers and assess their automotive service needs, providing excellent customer service throughout the process.
  • Communicate effectively with customers regarding vehicle maintenance, repairs, and services required.
  • Prepare accurate estimates for services, including oil changes, brake repairs, transmissions, alignments, and more.
  • Include additional services based on customer needs and vehicle diagnostics.
  • Coordinate with service technicians to ensure timely completion of repairs and maintenance.
  • Maintain detailed records of customer interactions, service orders, and vehicle history.
  • Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently.
  • Stay updated on automotive technology trends and service techniques to provide informed recommendations.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in an automotive dealership or service center is preferred.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in automotive diagnostics and repair.
  • Familiarity with various vehicle maintenance services including tire service, suspension work, shocks & struts, diesel engine repair, air brakes, and auto body repair.
  • Excellent customer service skills with a proven track record in sales and upselling services.
  • Ability to write clear service orders and communicate technical information effectively to customers.
  • Experience in cash handling and managing transactions accurately.
  • A background in auto estimating or service writing is a plus.
