What You'll Be Doing

Working under the direct supervision of the Operations Manager, you'll play a key role in maintaining and improving our water and wastewater systems. Your work will directly impact the safe and efficient operation of our water supply, treatment, and distribution systems, as well as wastewater treatment and collection systems.

Your responsibilities will include:

Performing water sampling and analysis to ensure top-quality water for our community.

Assisting in major repair and maintenance projects.

Monitoring and changing chlorine tanks in accordance with safety protocols.

Operating the SCADA system to identify and address system irregularities.

Conducting hands-on construction and maintenance work in a dynamic outdoor environment.

Operating and maintaining essential utility equipment and vehicles, including snowmobiles

Reading and understanding design drawings, sketches, and work instructions.

Maintaining and repairing tools and equipment as needed.

What We're Looking For

We're seeking motivated individuals who are eager to learn, grow, and contribute to our essential operations. Here's what you need to succeed in this role:

Education & Experience:

High school diploma (Grade 12) plus experience in utility construction or a recognized utility environment.

1-2 years of related experience in water treatment, distribution, or wastewater treatment.

Certifications & Skills:

BC EOCP Level 1 Certification (Water Treatment, Water Distribution, or Wastewater Treatment).

Basic mechanical aptitude and experience using hand tools, power tools, and utility-related equipment.

Ability to operate motor vehicles, construction equipment, and snowmobiles.

A basic understanding of utility systems, equipment, and maintenance procedures.

Ability to read and interpret design drawings, plans, and specifications.

A valid BC Driver's License is required.
