Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated French Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong command of both French and English, with the ability to inspire students in their language learning journey. This role involves teaching French to students of various ages, fostering a love for the language and culture while ensuring an inclusive and supportive classroom environment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles and abilities.
  • Teach French language skills including speaking, reading, writing, and comprehension.
  • Create a positive classroom atmosphere that encourages student participation and collaboration.
  • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to support their learning goals.
  • Utilize technology effectively in the classroom to enhance learning experiences.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop interdisciplinary projects that integrate French language learning.
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance, performance, and progress.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff regarding student needs and achievements.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in language education.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in both French and English is required; bilingual candidates are highly encouraged to apply.
  • Experience working with children in an educational or childcare setting is preferred.
  • Background in early childhood education or special education is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively with students of all ages.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities and organizational skills to manage classroom activities efficiently.
  • Familiarity with computer operation and educational technology tools for teaching purposes.
  • Previous classroom experience is advantageous, particularly in teaching languages or related subjects.
