Customer Service Representative – Export Ocean Cargo 

Harbour Centre, West Hastings Street, Vancouver, B.C. V6B 4N6

On-site role Mon-Fri (w/1 hour lunch)

Job Responsibilities for Customer Service Representative – Export Ocean Cargo: 

  • Respond to customer inquiries for export cargo both via email and telephone
  • Create, amend or transfer export bookings utilizing appropriate Systems and Guidelines
  • Communicate cross functionally to manage customer expectation, equipment and space availability and escalate to direct management as required
  • Promote utilization of OOCL online tools

Preferred Skills: 

  • Knowledge of International Cargo Container Movement
  • Critical Thinking and Problem Solving Skills
  • Works well in a team environment
  • Capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously

Qualifications: 

  • Customer Service Experience
  • Attention to detail, excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite

The annualized base salary for this position ranges from $45,000.00 to $55,000.00 excluding fringe benefits.  If hired at OOCL, the final base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience.  In addition to those factors, we also consider internal equity as part of any final offer.  Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical in order to allow for future and continued salary growth.  All full-time employees enjoy these outstanding benefits, while in a safe, friendly, clean, business casual office environment.
