About The Role
GoldenEye is a strategic trade store for Fixed Income (Global Debt Markets) which connects to various trade sources to get trade events real time, stores the trades in various formats and make the same available at real time or at the end of the day for carrying out any other business function for each trade event. Shipping code early and often using Agile and DevOps principles is critical for us to deliver business value, with continuous improvement and learning at the center of everything we do.

As our Developer Analyst, you will:

• Develop, design and support strategic trade store and life-cycle management platform for the investment banking division of HSBC
• Have experience and can code, architect/design systems and understand building highly available and scalable micro services on cloud infrastructure
• Build solutions with an engineering mind-set that not just achieve functional objectives but also cater to non-functional requirements with consistent performance that help our business to grow revenue
• Develop and manage the professionalism, foster collaboration, adopt best practices and ensure on-time and top-quality deliveries
• Collaborate with a global team where co-ordination activities would cross regional boundaries
• Proactively remove impediments, see risks, and communicate issues to Program Management
• Identify process inefficiencies and find innovative and pragmatic ways to eliminate them

What Your Day will Look Like:

• Deal with business users and successfully eliciting detailed information from them under pressured circumstances.
• A high degree of project responsibility. The ability to own projects and see it through from inception to close
• Increase capability and knowledge of the team on Trade Store application
• Responsible for production delivery by becoming the effective bridge between different IT Development, change management and business stakeholders
• Identifies problems and help implementing technical solutions to fix them
• Ability to understand challenges and deliver on the application upgrade
• Provide BAU support
• Should work within defined timelines and meet quality goals
• Closely monitor EOD batches and co-ordinate with consumers actively
• Understand user queries/issues, analyze it and provide resolution
• Incident Handling, Management and Resolution
• Collaborate with wider global teams and communicate seamlessly with IT and Business/Ops stakeholders

Requirements
To succeed in this role, you will need:

• Understanding of Investment Banking, Trade Lifecycle & Debt Markets.
• In-depth knowledge of Java 8/11, Micro-Services architecture and MongoDB
• Understanding of Containers and Container Orchestration Technology such as Docker / Kubernetes and Cloud Platforms
• Understanding and experience of developing application with Core Java with automated testing & deployment
• Hands-on experience with Unix, Git, Gradle, Jenkins, Ansible
• Proficiency in using JIRA and Confluence
• Comprehensive knowledge of Modern DevOps Tools & Techniques
• Understanding of the platforms built for observability e.g. Elastic Stack
• Extensive experience of working in Agile Teams and as Scrum Master role
• Good to have functional understanding of Investment Banking and Fixed Income Business
