The Opportunity:

We're looking for a Senior New Accounts Administrator to join our Operations Team.

Reporting to the Supervisor, New Accounts, the Senior New Accounts Administrator is responsible for opening/maintaining accounts across various platforms in accordance with regulatory requirements established by IIROC, PCMLTFA, FATCA, CRS and Qualified Intermediary regulations.

What your day looks like:

  • Review new account application documentation
  • Verify the identity of clients and prescribed individuals associated with accounts, primarily to combat money laundering and terrorist financing activities
  • Open/close/maintain client accounts across various platforms
  • Process systematic plans and bank information setups
  • Investigate account related issues and take appropriate actions to correct
  • Facilitate regular quality assurances tests. Enhance quality assurance measures
  • Communicate and coordinate with other departments regarding account related requests
  • Generate departmental reports for management
  • Provide training and on-going support to others in the department
  • Remain current on PCMLTFA, FATCA, CRS and Qualified Intermediary regulations
Requirements

Your experience and skills:

  • Post-secondary education
  • Minimum of 3 years financial industry experience
  • Experience with Dataphile is an asset
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment in a fast paced environment
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Pro-active problem solving abilities with strong analytical skills
  • Outstanding customer service focus
  • Extremely detail oriented and accurate with a focus on quality assurance
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Fluent communication skills in English are required and bilingual skills in French are an asset

Salary

This position is posted with an expected salary range of $46,000 - $55,000 CAD annually. Individual compensation packages are based on various factors unique to each candidate and the requirements of the position.
