Role Description
This is a hybrid role for a Member of the Board of Directors, combining onsite work in Mississauga, ON with flexibility for remote work. The Member of the Board will be responsible for attending board meetings, providing strategic direction, overseeing management performance, and ensuring that the company's financial and operational performance aligns with its goals. Additional responsibilities include guiding policy formulation, fostering relationships with stakeholders, and ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in strategic planning and oversight
- Strong understanding of financial statements and corporate governance
- Experience in the real estate or development industry is a plus
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with other board members and senior management
- High level of integrity, ethics, and commitment to the company's mission
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or related field; advanced degree preferred
- Capital Markets (IPO) experience
- Currently a board member in other well accomplished organizations
