As Development Associate, you will play an important role in supporting Rotman's fundraising and donor relations efforts. Working closely with the Development team, you will help implement key components of fundraising campaigns, maintain accurate records and reports, and provide exceptional service to donors and internal partners. You are organized, proactive, and highly attentive to detail, with a strong interest in advancement work and a desire to contribute to a high-performing and collaborative team.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Fostering positive relationships with prospective and existing donors and internal stakeholders across the University.
- Assessing needs and contributing to the development and implementation of plans for prospect identification, cultivation, solicitation and recognition
- Implementing components of fundraising campaigns and supporting donor management and stewardship strategies
- Drafting donor acknowledgment and recognition communications and determining logistics required for donor Thank-you calles, letters and mailing campaigns
- Reviewing online and print sources to identify donor prospects and collecting basic development-related information
- Coordinating meeting schedules, agendas, materials, action and follow-up items and taking and distributing meeting minutes as needed
- Generating reports, verifying data accuracy, updating prospect databases andportfolios and maintaining filing systems
- Monitoring accounts for a project and programs and collecting and passing on donation and payment information for processing
Essential Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree or acceptable combination of equivalent experience.
- Minimum three years' experience in fundraising, alumni relations, postsecondary, business school, or related professional environment.
- Database experience is required; familiarity with donor management systems preferred.
- Strong computer skills - MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Assets (Nonessential):
- Experience with ARBOR or other advancement database systems.
- Previous development or advancement experience.
- Understanding of a business school and/or corporate environment

USW Pay Band 10 - $72,119. with an annual step progression to a maximum of $92,226. Pay scale and job class assignment is subject to determination pursuant to the Job Evaluation/Pay Equity Maintenance Protocol.
