Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Cheese Maker to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the production of high-quality cheese products, ensuring adherence to food safety standards and sanitation protocols. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food processing and manufacturing, with mechanical knowledge and basic math skills to support the production process.
Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain cheese-making equipment, ensuring optimal performance
- Monitor the cheese production process from curdling to packaging
- Perform quality checks to ensure product consistency and safety standards are met
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the production area in compliance with health regulations
- Assist in packaging finished products for distribution
- Utilize a forklift for moving materials and products within the facility
- Collaborate with team members to improve production efficiency and product quality
Experience
- Previous experience in the food industry, particularly in food processing or manufacturing, is preferred
- Familiarity with sanitation practices and food safety regulations
- Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues as they arise
- Basic math skills for measuring ingredients and maintaining accurate records
