Experienced Draftsperson

Job Overview

We are seeking an Experienced Draftsperson to join our team. The ideal candidate will be proficient in Autodesk Revit Design Software and possess a strong understanding of construction and design principles. As an Experienced Draftsperson, you will play a crucial role in creating detailed drawings and schematics that support our projects from conception to completion. Your expertise will help ensure accuracy and efficiency in the production of design documents.

Flexible work location, can be in-person at either of our offices (Kamloops or Chilliwack) or working remote.

We operate on a Monday - Thursday (7am-5:30pm), 40-hour work week.

Duties

• Create precise 2D and 3D drawings using software such as Revit, and Chief Architect.
• Work in conjunction with and on projects for two other partner design companies.
• Develop schematics and layouts for construction projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
• Revise drawings based on feedback from project stakeholders to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Maintain organized documentation of all drafts and revisions throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements

• Strong Proficiency in Autodesk Revit Design Software is a must.
• Familiarity with Chief Architect is a significant plus, and while not required, a willingness to learn this software is necessary.
• Strong understanding of drafting principles, North American construction methods, and building codes; especially BC Building Code.
• Experience in creating detailed schematics and layouts for various types of projects, Specifically Residential Homes.
• Ability to produce high-quality work under tight deadlines while maintaining attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
• A degree or certification in Drafting Technology or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
• A willingness to learn, and attention to detail is a must.
