About Us:

EcoGrid Energy Inc. is a leading electrical contracting company specializing in residential and commercial solar PV systems. We pride ourselves on delivering top-quality installations, excellent customer service, and safe, code-compliant work. We're looking for a licensed 309A Construction and Maintenance Electrician experienced in solar installation and electrical service work.

Responsibilities:

  • Install, troubleshoot, and commission residential and commercial solar PV systems.
  • Perform electrical service work, upgrades, and panel installations.
  • Ensure all work meets Ontario Electrical Code and ESA standards.
  • Supervise and train apprentices as required.
  • Collaborate with project managers and installation teams to deliver efficient, high-quality results.
  • Complete and maintain ESA permits and inspection documentation.

Requirements:

  • Valid 309A Construction and Maintenance Electrician License (Ontario).
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in solar PV systems (rooftop or ground-mount).
  • Strong understanding of electrical code, wiring, and layout.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Comfortable working at heights and outdoors in varying conditions.
  • Professional attitude, attention to detail, and strong problem-solving skills.

Assets (Nice to Have):

  • Experience leading crews or apprentices.
  • Familiarity with solar inverters, generators, batteries & tieing in net-metering systems
  • Working at Heights, First Aid, WHMIS certifications.
  • Experience pulling ESA permits.

Compensation:

  • Competitive hourly wage based on experience & leadership ability ($38–$45/hour).
