A leading organization in Vancouver is seeking an experienced 
Project Accounting/Cost Analyst
 for a 
1-year contract
 starting in December 2025. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced project environment and enjoys collaborating across finance, engineering, and project teams.

This is a fully in-office position located downtown Vancouver.

What You'll Do

  • Support project accounting and cost control activities across multiple large-scale capital projects.
  • Maintain accurate tracking, reporting, and forecasting of project costs.
  • Review invoices, progress payments, and accruals for accuracy and compliance.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and finance to ensure proper budgeting and capitalization.
  • Assist with month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
  • Help refine and implement best practices in project accounting processes.

What You Bring

  • 5+ years of experience in project accounting or cost control in construction, mining, or engineering environments. (Owner's team type environment or EPC or EPCM company managing project accounting and/or controls functions)
  • Strong understanding of project lifecycles, cost reporting, and financial systems.
  • Proficiency with ERP systems such as SAP, JD Edwards, or similar; experience with 
    Unifier
     is an asset.
  • CPA designation (or in progress, also welcome).
  • Excellent Excel skills and strong attention to detail.
