We are always looking for amazing talent who can contribute to our growth and deliver results Geotab is seeking a Lead Product Manager who will drive the strategic direction and vision for Video Telematics-related product development across multiple portfolios or segments, overseeing initiatives from conception to execution. What You'll Do:
As a Lead Product Manager your key area of responsibility will be identifying and cultivating new products, as well as driving large-scale product enhancements that align with Geotab's long-term business goals and growth strategy. You will build and leverage customer intelligence to prioritize and promote opportunities that advance the company's overall product roadmap. You will need to work closely with UX designers, developers, data scientists, technical project managers, and other stakeholders.
To be successful in this role you will be a strong team player with excellent written and verbal communication skills, a good listener, empathetic, and possess well-defined diplomacy, including solid negotiation, conflict resolution, and relationship management skills. In addition, the successful candidate will have a strategic mindset, with a keen sense of priorities, strong analytical skills with the ability to problem-solve, and strong organizational skills to be able to manage products through discovery to launch and continuous review.
How You'll Make An Impact:
- Drive the strategic vision behind product roadmaps, ensuring cross-functional alignment and prioritization across teams, while shaping long-term business growth and influencing the overall product direction at the highest level.
- Experience with video transmission and video hardware is beneficial, particularly in areas such as in-cab, drone, doorbell, and surveillance systems.
- Lead high-impact customer discovery initiatives and mentor other team members in conducting interviews to refine value propositions and product fit
- Define prioritization frameworks to ensure alignment between long-term strategy and business objectives.
- Establish advanced reporting and monitoring frameworks that measure success (both qualitative and quantitative )across multiple product dimensions.
- Design and implement feedback loops at scale, ensuring continuous alignment with market needs.
- Experience working with CMs, JDMs and sourcing accessories to complete the product suite is beneficial.
- Ensure company-wide understanding of product efforts, regularly communicating the Why at senior leadership forums and cross-departmental meetings.
- Lead complex problem and solution validation, ensuring strategic alignment and providing direction on critical solutions.
- Oversee the translation of needs into detailed epics and initiatives, ensuring alignment with overall product strategy.
- Work closely with technical project managers toward execution.
- Collect and analyze feedback from customers, stakeholders and internal teams to continuously make improvements to products that are launched.
- Lead efforts to enhance product management frameworks, mentoring other product managers and contributing to company-wide initiatives.
What You'll Bring To The Role:
- 8 - 10 years of relevant industry and product management experience.
- Experience in a SaaS environment is highly valued.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strategic mindset, with a keen sense of priorities, along with an ability to pivot as the landscape changes.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to problem-solve to well-judged decisions .
- Strong team player with the ability to engage with all levels of the organization.
- Post-Secondary Diploma/Degree specialization in Engineering, Business, Computer Science or a related field highly valued.
