The Role

The Segment Marketing Manager for the civil sector is responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies that target specific customer segments with the geotechnical industry. This role involves understanding the unique needs and challenges of these segments, creating tailored marketing campaigns and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive business growth.

The role is critical in driving market share, customer engagement, and revenue growth in the civil segment.

The Segment Marketing Manager will work closely with other departments to ensure the company's offerings align with market needs and customer expectations.

Key aspects of the role will include, but not be limited to:

  • Conduct through market research to understand the civil industry, including customer needs, market trends, competitive landscape, and regulatory environment.
  • Identify and segment the target market based on specific criteria such as geography, application, customer type and other relevant factors
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive marketing strategy for the civil segment, aligning with overall business objectives
  • Define value propositions, positioning and messaging tailored to the segment's needs and preferences
  • Build core marketing content (solution briefs, web copy, explainer videos) for Seequent's civil solutions
  • Track and analyse the performance of marketing campaigns and initiatives using key metrics and KPI's
  • Have the ability to demonstrate technical products, and support in demo script development
  • Understand the concepts of Geotechnical Analysis, Geology, and Geophysics or have prior experience learning and marketing software or hardware used by engineers or developers

To be successful in this role, the following technical qualifications, experience, and skills are required:

  • A technical background in engineering, physics or a related field is preferred.
  • 7+ years of experience in product marketing, preferably in B2B software and/or SaaS solutions
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in digital marketing tools and platforms, as well as CRM and marketing automation software
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of the geotechnical industry, including key layers, market trends, and technical aspects, is highly desirable.

Location and additional Information

The role is office based in Vancouver or Christchurch. There may be occasions where international travel may be required, to attend seminars and events. There is also a requirement to work, from time to time, outside of standard office hours in order to connect with peers in other time zones.
