Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Helper to join our team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will assist in food preparation, maintain cleanliness in the kitchen, and support our culinary staff to ensure a smooth operation. This role is essential for maintaining food safety standards and providing high-quality service to our customers.

Duties

  • Assist in the preparation of meals by chopping, slicing, and dicing ingredients as directed by the kitchen staff.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including washing dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety standards and regulations during food handling and preparation.
  • Support cooks and chefs during busy service periods by providing timely assistance with various tasks.
  • Keep workstations clean and organized to promote efficiency in meal preparation.
  • Participate in cleaning schedules, including deep cleaning tasks as required.

Experience

  • Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant setting is preferred but not required; we are willing to train motivated individuals.
  • Familiarity with food handling practices and food safety regulations is a plus.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while maintaining a positive attitude.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
  • A passion for the food industry and eagerness to learn about meal preparation techniques is highly valued.
