Role Description

This is a full-time hybrid role based in Toronto with one in-office day per week. This will be an unpaid position. This role will lead to consideration for a full-time intern or analyst position in the summer. Four internship positions are currently open out of which two will convert to paid full-time roles. The Marketing Intern will support event marketing, podcast production, SEO and GEO initiatives, and thought leadership programs. The role also includes helping build a community of startups, investors, and partners across the venture ecosystem. Responsibilities include market research, marketing strategy support, sales enablement tasks, and communication materials across web, social, and email.

Key Responsibilities


• Support event marketing for investor roadshows, accelerator events, and product showcases.


• Assist with podcast research, guest coordination, outlines, and publishing.


• Contribute to SEO and GEO initiatives with keyword research, content updates, and performance tracking.


• Support thought leadership content for LinkedIn, newsletters, and the StartupFuel blog.


• Conduct market and competitive research on private markets, VC, and emerging technologies.


• Help build and engage a community of startups, investors, and ecosystem stakeholders.


• Assist marketing and sales teams with outreach assets, onboarding materials, and customer success communications.


• Draft emails, social posts, briefs, and campaign summaries.


• Track performance and help refine marketing campaigns.

Qualifications


• Strong communication and customer service skills.


• Experience in market research and developing marketing strategies.


• Interest in SEO, digital content, events, and podcast production.


• Ability to support sales initiatives and collaborate across teams.


• Detail-oriented and comfortable in a fast-paced environment.


• Pursuing or recently completed a degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
