PROCUREMENT AND SUPPLY CHAIN COORDINATOR (2-YEAR CONTRACT)

Location and hours

  • Head Office: 25 Sims Crescent, Unit 1, Richmond Hill, ON L4B 1C9 | Monday to Friday: 8:30 am - 5:00 pm (hybrid role)

Responsibilities

The primary responsibility of the Procurement and Supply Chain Coordinator is to manage inventory, manage vendor, manage logistics in Canada.

The Procurement and Supply Chain Coordinator will develop sophisticated inventory management processes, protocols, and practices using JustFoods (ERP) system to ensure to support growth and demand spikes, introduce improvements and upgrades, and maintain input data from regional warehouses.

  • Create DOH report to assist purchase order for current and forecasted demand
  • Follow-up with vendors ensure purchase orders have correct price, freight charge, and delivery
  • Coordinate with QA to maintain purchased products follow specs as required/agreed
  • Coordinate with vendors in the event of an issue with quality
  • Follow-up with vendors on back-orders and notify operations of impacts to project ship dates
  • Communicate with vendors when purchase orders are due to be received to ensure they are on track
  • Monitor and coordinate with the warehouse/factory teams to resolve issues
  • Review vendor invoices with errors and coordinate a quick resolution
  • Ongoing demand forecasting
  • Build and maintain supply redundancy
  • Work with Product Development team to source new vendors, packaging, ingredients, and materials
  • Work with the Operation Onsite and Factory team to coordinate for volume items during peak production
  • Work with the Operation team to provide vendors forecasting information
  • Vendor/Distributor Management: communications, listing of items, forecasts
  • Update and maintain order guides
  • Work with QA to maintain lot track-and-recall procedure
  • Improve Supply Chain model
  • Maintain costs, vendor, and customer information in the JustFoods (ERP) system
  • Check and Monitor inventory levels for critical items using DOH report for all warehouses and factories
  • Help with inventory counts at period and year end
  • Help with warehouses and factories resolve errors in the JustFoods (ERP) system

Qualifications

  • 2-3 years of experience in procurement, inventory management, or supply chain coordination, preferably within food manufacturing industry.
  • Experience using ERP systems (JustFoods ERP experience is a strong asset).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and excellent Excel skills are a big bonus (Pivot Tables, formulas, etc.)
