Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Automotive Service Manager to lead our service department and ensure exceptional customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in automotive repair and dealership operations, demonstrating both mechanical knowledge and excellent customer service skills. This role involves overseeing service staff, managing workflow, and driving sales through effective upselling techniques.

Responsibilities

  • Manage daily operations of the service department, ensuring efficient workflow and high-quality service delivery.
  • Supervise and train service technicians, providing guidance on best practices in automotive repair.
  • Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
  • Oversee cash handling processes, ensuring accuracy in transactions and record-keeping.
  • Collaborate with sales teams to identify upselling opportunities that enhance customer experience and increase revenue.
  • Monitor inventory levels of parts and supplies, placing orders as necessary to maintain stock.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and dealership policies.

Skills

  • Proven dealership experience with a strong understanding of automotive service operations.
  • Hands-on mechanic experience with a solid foundation in automotive repair techniques.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge to effectively troubleshoot issues and guide technicians.
  • Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and address their needs effectively.
