Job Description

We seek a motivated and passionate WordPress Developer Intern to join our team. In this role, you will support our web development team in designing and maintaining WordPress-based websites and applications. You will work closely with our team to create engaging and user-friendly online experiences while adhering to industry best practices.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the web development team to design, develop, and maintain WordPress-based websites and applications.
  • Assist in building custom themes and plugins using HTML, CSS, PHP, and JavaScript/jQuery.
  • Conduct thorough testing and debugging of websites and applications to ensure optimal performance, cross-browser compatibility, and responsiveness.
  • Assist in website content management, including uploading and formatting content, optimizing images, and ensuring SEO best practices.
  • Collaborate with designers, content creators, and other team members to ensure a cohesive and visually appealing website design.
  • Stay updated with the latest WordPress trends, technologies, and best practices, and provide recommendations to enhance website functionality and user experience.
  • Assist in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues related to WordPress websites.
  • Perform website maintenance tasks, including updates, backups, and security checks.
  • Assist in managing and tracking project timelines and deliverables.
Qualifications
  • Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or a related field.
  • Basic web development concepts and technologies, including HTML, CSS, PHP, and JavaScript/jQuery.
  • Familiarity with WordPress CMS and its ecosystem, including themes, plugins, and customizations.
  • Experience with responsive web design principles and cross-browser compatibility.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to deliver high-quality work within established timelines.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Self-motivated and eager to learn and grow in web development.
  • A portfolio or examples of past WordPress projects or websites is a plus.
