Position Summary

The Integrator/Software Developerrole ensures clients achieve maximum return on investment from the company's products and services. This role involves managing the full project lifecycle, from defining needs to delivering high-quality solutions, while serving as a key technical resource and integrator. The Integrator drives process optimization, fosters collaboration, and ensures deliverables meet both client and company standards.

Key Responsibilities

Project Planning & Execution

  • Collaborate with sales teams and clients to develop detailed project plans.
  • Manage and coordinate project progress, ensuring alignment with stakeholders.
  • Review and refine deliverables from the sales proposal process for client presentation.
  • Conduct site surveys and define system requirements prior to implementation.

Implementation & Integration

  • Configure, personalize, and install software to meet client specifications.
  • Test hardware and software functionality based on client needs.
  • Train clients on system usage and provide ongoing support.
  • Oversee installation and updates of hardware and software.

Client Relationship Management

  • Build strong client relationships by understanding needs and ensuring satisfaction.
  • Provide on-site and remote support to address software and hardware issues.
  • Act as a technical consultant during the sales cycle, including system demonstrations.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and nurture strong relationships with customers and business partners.
  • Knowledge of POS market trends and competitive landscape to anticipate and adapt to industry changes.

Process Optimization & Team Leadership

  • Develop and implement standard processes for project delivery and installation.
  • Serve as a mentor to junior integrators, providing training and guidance.
  • Foster inter-team communication and serve as a central resource for project teams.
  • Participate in onboarding and resource mobilization for new integration staff.

Education & Experience

  • Minimum of Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Strong knowledge of computer operations, hardware, and software applications.
  • Experience in project management, preferably in the retail or Point of Sale industry.
  • Demonstrates exceptional written and verbal communication skills, effectively representing the company externally and engaging with individuals within the company.
  • Proficiency in English is required, with French and/or Spanish proficiency preferred.
  • Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in PC hardware, DOS/Windows, networking, and MS Office.
  • Familiarity with retail operations and system integration methodologies.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.

Physical & Travel Requirements

  • Ability to travel to customer sites as needed in the U.S. and Canada.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to drive long distances.
  • Capable of lifting and carrying up to 70 lbs, including climbing stairs with equipment.
