Job Overview

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Personal Support Workers/Home Care Aides to provide essential support to individuals in their homes. The ideal candidate will have experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or senior care, and will be committed to enhancing the quality of life for our clients. This role involves working closely with individuals with disabilities, dementia care, and assisting with daily living activities.

Responsibilities

  • Provide personal care assistance including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
  • Assist clients with mobility and transferring as needed.
  • Cue for medications as prescribed and ensure adherence to medication schedules.
  • Prepare nutritious meals tailored to client dietary needs.
  • Perform light housekeeping tasks to maintain a safe and clean environment.
  • Engage clients in meaningful activities to promote mental and emotional well-being.
  • Document daily care activities and report any changes in client condition to the supervisor.
  • Foster a positive relationship with clients and their families through effective communication.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or senior care is preferred.
  • Familiarity with working with individuals with disabilities and dementia care is a plus.
  • Strong caregiving skills with a focus on compassion and patience.
  • Ability to perform cleaning tasks and meal preparation efficiently.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with clients and families.
  • Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team.

Job Types: Part-time, Casual

Pay: $20.00-$23.00 per hour
