What Makes This Role Great
This is a high-impact opportunity to lead the development of innovative SaaS tools that visualize energy market data and help customers optimize energy spend. You'll work across the full software lifecycle—from architecture to implementation—while collaborating with product and business stakeholders. You'll also mentor junior developers and help shape the technical direction of Rodan's digital platforms.
This role is ideal for a developer who thrives in a fast-paced, Agile environment and wants to build scalable, data-driven applications that deliver real-world value.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and maintenance of SaaS applications that deliver energy market insights and cost-saving tools.
- Provide hands-on technical leadership across the full SDLC, including sprint planning, code reviews, and deployment.
- Collaborate with product managers and business stakeholders to define technical requirements and deliver high-impact features.
- Guide architectural decisions and recommend best practices for solution design and documentation.
- Support MVP design and development for new digital services and enhancements to existing platforms.
- Estimate development effort and timelines for new features and client-driven projects.
- Mentor junior developers and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional software development experience
- Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
- Strong technical expertise in: Backend: Python, Django
- Frontend: , JavaScript, JQuery, HTML/CSS, Bootstrap
- Data Visualization: Highcharts,
- Database: MySQL
- DevOps & Tools: Git, RESTful APIs, Linux CLI/SSH
- Familiarity with Azure Cloud and Azure DevOps is an asset
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative Agile environment
