Job Posting: Operations Supervisor / Pack Leader

Fetching Forever – Vancouver, BC

Are you a natural leader with a passion for pets and a knack for building relationships with dogs AND humans? Fetching Forever is seeking a dynamic and highly motivated Supervisor to join our team in Vancouver. Applicants must have 1+ year experience working with large groups of dogs as well as 1+ years continued experience as a team leader or supervisor position.

Position Summary:

As a Supervisor at Fetching Forever, you are leading a multi-faceted facility, balancing the well-being of our furry guests with the satisfaction of our human clients. You'll lead our team, manage day-to-day operations, help book in grooming appointments as well as ring in our guests. This is a tight-knit team of people who enjoy each others' company. You will need a positive attitude, strong work ethic and ability to work well with others, as well as dogs, in order to fit with the team we are building. This is a hands-on position for someone with the grit to tackle any challenge and the drive to help your reports and the business thrive.

• Guest Relations: You'll build and nurture strong relationships with our clients, addressing their needs and ensuring a top-tier experience. Your ability to connect with people and their pets is essential for fostering a loyal community. This happens not only in person but across various typed mediums including email, text message and sometimes socials.
• Sales & Growth: Drive business success by promoting and selling our full suite of services. This includes guiding clients in selecting the best daycare packages for their pups, booking grooming appointments across three different service-types, and confidently recommending products from our retail selection. You'll be instrumental in meeting and exceeding weekly and monthly sales targets.
• Grit & Operational Excellence: Lead by example with an unwavering work ethic and a "get-it-done" attitude. You will oversee daily operations, from managing play groups and ensuring safety protocols are met, pairing dogs for group walks with our attendants, to handling administrative duties and resolving unexpected issues. Your resilience and positive energy will set the tone for the entire team.
• Team Leadership: Mentor and train staff to ensure a consistent standard of care and service. You will be responsible for fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
• Facility Management: Maintain the cleanliness and organization of our facility, ensuring it's a safe and welcoming space for all (but msotly for dogs).

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in a supervisory or leadership role, within the pet care, retail, or service industry.
• Exceptional interpersonal andguest relationsskills.
• Demonstrated ability to elevate yourself and your team to drive sales, meet business goals and maintain profitability of all three segments of the business
• A high degree of grit, with the ability to remain calm and effective under pressure.
• Passion for dogs and a strong understanding of canine behavior and safety. One year minimum working in a dog care environment
• Proficiency in point-of-sale systems (experience with Square is a bonus).
• A flexible schedule, with the ability to work Saturdays a minimum of once biweekly.
