THE ROLE:
Join us to lead our organization in operational excellence as we continue to grow our graphics technology leadership in the industry. Our team manages operations for AMD's graphics engineering team the Radeon Technology Group. We create products for AMD's portfolio that enable our customers to build world class laptops, gaming PCs, professional graphics workstations, servers, embedded devices, and much more. We are looking for an operations team member who will act as a data analyst.
THE PERSON:
A successful candidate possesses demonstrated ability in data mining & database architecture along with good programming skills and an understanding of Relational Databases Management concepts.
Mathematical and statistical skills are also valuable in this role.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Design and communicate conceptual and logical data models
- Lead and manage AMD Analytics team
- Mentor Junior resources and oversee day to day activities and support
- Develop and communicate high-level technical designs (designs that including testing strategies and data quality controls) in order to resolve complex technical and business issues
- Develop and deliver high quality code deliverables
- Evolve Business Intelligence solutions and data models to meet new and changing business requirements
- Support and advise business users on data conflicts or inappropriate data usage
- Design and develop enterprise and departmental business intelligence, data warehousing and reporting solutions.
- Develop and implement interactive analytic reports and dashboards utilizing SAC.
- Participate in the definition of best practices, standards and procedures for the Enterprise Analytical Data visualization environment different tools like Power BI, Tableau, SAP Analytics Cloud, SSRS etc.,
- Contribute to the Requirements Elicitation Process by creating assigned parts of requirement documentation.
- Participate and create the application architecture document to provide Deliverables in line with Architectural Requirements.
- Adhere to and set data management, security, development policies, procedures and standards
- Possess analytical skills and have the ability to support and manage multiple priorities
- Develop and maintain tabular and multidimensional cubes using Microsoft SSAS, visualizations and dashboards using Power BI, SAP Analytics Cloud, and Tableau.
- Assist business partners using BI assets, and guide business partners as needed in developing their own reports using standard BI tools.
- Maintain the architectural roadmap for the AMD BI landscape and coordinate the needed upgrades and deployments to realize the roadmap.
- Provide and maintain documentation for the BI environment and analytical assets.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
- Experience in data modeling, including conceptual, logical, and physical models.
- Proven experience designing and developing enterprise-level BI and data warehousing solutions.
- Strong hands-on experience with SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), Power BI, Tableau, and SSRS for dashboard and report development.
- Experience developing and maintaining tabular and multidimensional cubes using Microsoft SSAS.
- Proficiency in SQL, DAX, MDX, and other data query languages.
- Experience implementing data quality controls, testing strategies, and technical design documentation.
- Familiarity with data governance, security policies, and development standards.
ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:
- Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics, Computer Engineering, Finance, Economics or Statistics
